It's such a lovely day, see, look how the sun is shining.
We've spread out a bit outside, packing some bits to go off to Cologne for the Handerbeit & Hobby Show (we're not exhibiting, but we're helping out 7 Islands as we are a little closer to Cologne than they are, being all the way over in California), although it is as nice indoors with our high ceilings as it is outdoors.
Anyway, in honour of it being a lovely day, here's a little giveaway: I have 3 of our Japanese Fabric Scrap Bags to give away - all you have to do is tell me what your favourite fabric is in our Japanese section on our website. And tell me what you would do with it, if it was yours.
And then I will pick 3 winners.
So, tell me what you think!

I think my favourite (although it's a very hard choice!) is currently the Echino Birdsong panel in Aqua.
ReplyDeleteIt would make an amazing skirt, but being as i'm not much of a skirt person i'd rather use it to make a large tote bag.
That's like making me chose between my children!
ReplyDeleteBut if I have to name the one I'd like to have right now, I'd say the Lightweight Echino Rondo Stripe in green; until it's naughty, then I'll chose another one!
Fuccra Natural - Nani Iro - Natural/Blue is beautiful and would make a lovely skirt for the Summer. Thank you for the giveaway. Judith.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite would have to be the Hana Yura yellow.....so beautiful! It's so hard to choose though - like Daddy or Chips lol!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!

ReplyDeleteOK I got a bit carried away with the previous comment so I have composed myself and returned to try again..
ReplyDeleteMy favourite Japanese fabric on your website has got to be the Echino Camera fabric, and with it I would make a super-awesome camera bag to carry my camera gear around in style!
Thank you for the giveaway!!
My absolute favourite Japanese fabric is easy = the lilac Echino Birdsong and I'd either make it into either a large shoulderbag or a top
ReplyDeletewonderful choice but would have to be the Echino quiet ground green. I adore the colours an details in the fabric. So many projects to do with it but what would win out would be a summer skirt with lots of lace and some bead work to bring it all together.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd have to pick the Echino Story (Pink/Purple) and I'd make my daughter a summer dress with it
ReplyDeleteFor me it has to be the Echino natural panel cotton/linen blend with the zebras. My best friend in the world that I've known for years, is due her first baby after trying for ages, and this would make such a cute cot bumper set - still cute, but different enough and not too 'babyish'!
ReplyDeleteFor me it is Melody Miller's Ruby Star Rising and I would make a lap size quilt for me from it!!
ReplyDeleteIts very difficult to pick one, but I would have to go with the Pink Bloom Large - Garden. Its beautiful and would make a fabulous tote bag.

Ooh tricky one, I love japanese fabrics! For me it's a tie between Kokka robots, and Kokka french bikes, and I would use the fabric to make a laptop bag :-)

i like echino helicoptor orange although i could revel in it all!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I'm swayed by all the pretty bird fabrics, I LOVE Kokka robots. I think it'd make a lovely laptop cover for my boyfriend, to steer him away from his 'plain and black' mentality!

Such funky fabrics, my favourite fabric has to be the French Bikes by Kokka, I love it and it would do for boys or girls. Thanks for the give away.
ReplyDeleteI love ALL of your Japanese fabric! Top of my list has to be Ephemera Aqua from Melody Miller's Ruby Star Rising which I MUST have to make a dress for my little girl. I'd use the rest of the range to make a quilt just for me!
ReplyDeleteLet's hope the sunshine is here to stay :) Good luck in Cologne and thanks for the giveaway.
My favorite is the Echino Peacock in blue. Would make a doggie bed, or totes or even pillows. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway, may favourite of the Japanese fabrics is Echino Ornament Turquoise which I would use to make a lovely full-skirted 1950's style dress.
ReplyDeletei like echino flowerbed natural. it would make a gorg blind for a kitchen or bedroom. bright but in asubtle way and im loving summer colours at moment. i actually found 3 favourites but that one is best x

I love the echino camera print!
ReplyDeleteI love the Hana Yura pink because I am in love with using 1970s inspired design prints in my quilts - this would make a fab quilt.
ReplyDeleteAlternatively I am quite keen on making my daughter a skirt from that Echino Panther/Lime Spots - fierce!
That's is such a hard question with so many beautiful fabrics to choose from! I think I'd choose Echino Peacock in the green!!
ReplyDeletei LOVE the Seven Dwarves kokka fabric. Sooooo cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the Mackintosh Roses one of y favourite designers with a Japanese twist :-)
ReplyDeleteOooh that's a tough question; I like echino glasses in green and kokka apples, but I love echino woodland black on natural, so I guess I would have to go with woodland and I would use it to make a tote bag for summer picnics
ReplyDeleteOoooh, it's gotta be Echino Birdsong in Lilac, I love that one!! :)
ReplyDeleteEchino Woodland Black is the yummiest fabric ever - but I'm also in love with ruby star rising and all the echino patchworks from last winter.
ReplyDeleteIf money were no object, I'd love to make some curtains from the Lightweight Echino Rondo Stripe Purple to live in my study/office. They'd be just so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI like the 7 dwarfs fabric from Kokka! I would make a blanket & pillow for my nephew!
